JSX Juniors

How it works

 JSX Juniors is a weekly Strength & Conditioning (S&C) fitness class that targets all aspects of physical performance. The classes are designed to be fun & inclusive, whilst supporting the group to become more athletic, guard against injuries & improve their performance at their chosen sports.


The classes are typically paid for on a monthly-basis, however, pay-as-you-go sessions are available in some cases. The first session is offered at a discounted price of just £5 to allow your child to try the session for a minimal fee before committing to further sessions.

Strength & Conditioning

What is it?

 Strength and conditioning is the physical training and conditioning of an individual, typically an athlete, to improve their overall physical performance. This often includes a combination of weightlifting, cardiovascular exercise, plyometrics, and other forms of physical training. The goal of strength and conditioning is to increase muscle strength, power, endurance, and overall fitness to improve performance in the athlete's chosen sport or activity. 

What is Junior S&C?

 Junior strength and conditioning refers to physical training and conditioning programs designed specifically for children and adolescents. These programs focus on developing the physical abilities of young athletes in a safe and age-appropriate manner. Junior strength and conditioning programs typically include exercises to improve strength, power, speed, agility, and endurance, as well as flexibility and injury prevention. The goal is to improve the physical fitness and performance of young athletes, while also promoting healthy habits and reducing the risk of injury. Additionally, it is also focus on teaching proper movement pattern and proper technique of exercises. 

Who can benefit from S&C?

 

Strength and conditioning can benefit a wide range of sports and athletic activities. Some examples include:


  • Football/Soccer: strength and conditioning is important for soccer players to improve their endurance, as well as their strength and power in order to better handle the physical demands of the game.


  • Track and Field: strength and conditioning is important for track and field athletes to improve their speed, power, and endurance, which are all critical for success in events such as sprints, hurdles, and distance running.


  • Gymnastics: strength and conditioning is important for gymnasts to improve their power, strength, and flexibility, which are all critical for success on the equipment.


  • Swimming: strength and conditioning is important for swimmers to improve their endurance, as well as their strength and power in order to better handle the physical demands of the sport.


  • Volleyball: strength and conditioning is important for volleyball players to improve their jumping ability, agility, and endurance, which are all important for success on the court.


Overall, strength and conditioning can benefit nearly all sports and athletic activities, as it improves overall fitness and physical performance.
