JSX Juniors - 1-1's

How it works

 JSX offer bespoke 121 football & fitness training sessions for Juniors aged 6+. The sessions aim to develop the junior player's athleticism, technique and footballing IQ, in order to elevate their performance and maximise their enjoyment.


The sessions are available to Juniors of all abilities. They aren't just for those wanting to make it into an academy, they can be tailored to suit those of any ability to align with their respective goals.

Key areas of focus

S.A.Q. & Plyometrics

These aspects of athletic training help to provide the base of athleticism, by developing the player's ability to move efficiently, change direction at speed and produce more force to ultimately move, faster and jump higher. All essential assets when competing in a physical, contact sport such as football.

Technical Skills & Ball Mastery

It is vitally important for Junior players to develop their technical skills as early as possible in order to give them the best chance of achieving their full potential as footballers. Having a good first-touch and being comfortable in tight spaces, under pressure, allows players to immediately set themselves apart from their opposition and start to reach higher performance levels.

Body-positioning

 Understanding the importance of Body Positioning is another way in which players can quickly level up their performances. Basics such as receiving the ball 'side-on', keeping your body between the ball and the opposition to keep possession, and how to close-down attackers on the opposing team can be developed though fun and engaging drills.

Decision-making

 

Probably the most important of the lot. You can have all the ability in the world but if you can't make the correct decisions on the pitch, you'll never be able to show your ability. Similarly, players with less technical ability can actually outperform their counterparts just by being able to consistently make good decisions. 'Scanning' is the first step in decision making and can be easily drilled to improve these skills.
